Pada artikel sebelumnya telah dibahas secara tuntas terkait passive voice , kini saatnya kita melihat beberapa contoh passive voice sesuai dengan tensesnya, namun sebelum itu, kenali dulu perbedaan kalimat aktif dan tidak aktif berikut in:
Kalimat Aktif (Active Voice) Kalimat Pasif (Passive Voice) Kalimat yang subjeknya memakai kata kerja / sedang mengerjakan suatu tindakan. Kalimat yang subjeknya diberi sebuah tindakan / diberi kata kerja.
Berikut adalah beberapa contoh passive voice sesuai dengan tensesnya, antara lain:
1. Simple Present Tense Contoh passive voice simple present tense:
Active Voice Passive Voice Students speak English English is spoken by students She read a book in the library The book is read by her in the library My little sister ask the waiter to bring a water The waiter is asked by my little sister to bring a water I ride a bike when she run next to me The bike is rode by me when she run next to me I gril a snapper last summer A Snapper is grilled by me last summer I hate spinach because it’s taste bitter Spinach is hatted by me because it’s taste bitter
2. Present Continuous Tense Contoh passive voice present continuous tense:
Active Voice Passive Voice She is making a cake A cake is being maked by her I am buying a book A book is being bought by me I am building my shop this month My shop is builded by me this month We are managing this event really well This event is managed really well by us She is wearing that ring now That ring is being worn by her now Students is speaking English English is being spoken by students
3. Present Perfect Tense Contoh passive voice present perfect tense:
Active Voice Passive Voice Students have spoken English English has been spoken by students
4. Present Perfect Continuous Tense Contoh passive voice present perfect continuous tense:
Active Voice Passive Voice Students have been speaking English English has been being spoken by students
5. Simple Past Tense a. Regular Verb

b. Irregular Verb

c. Mengubah Kalimat Aktif 2 Obyek menjadi Kalimat Passive Voice Simple Past Tense
Active Voice Passive Voice 1 Passive Voice 2 Did her parents buy her a new car last month? Was she bought a new car last month? Was a new car bought to her by parents last month? Did they ask him some difficult questions at the interview? Were some difficult questions asked to him at the interview? Was he asked some difficult questions at the interview? 9. Simple Future Tense Active Voice Passive Voice Students will speak English English will be spoken by students
10. Future Continuous Tense Active Voice Passive Voice Students will be speaking English English will be being spoken by students
11. Future Perfect Tense Active Voice Passive Voice Students will have spoken English English will have been spoken by students
12. Future Perfect Continuous Tense Active Voice Passive Voice Students will have been speaking English English will have been being spoken by students
13. Simple Future Past Tense Active Voice Passive Voice Students would speak English English would be spoken by students
